Paragon Collects Record Level of Donations During Food Drive
Memphis, TN - 1/5/2012
Paragon National Bank announced it collected more than $11,000 in monetary donations and over 1,000 food items during the 4th Annual Mid-South Food Bank Student Food Drive. The bank accepted donations for the food drive from employees and customers at its Paragon Place, Fountain Place, Saddle Creek and Grove Park branches from November 1 through December 2.

Paragon Recognized as Corporate Neighbor of the Year

Paragon Appoints Perkins as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President

Paragon National Bank announced the appointment of Lewis W. Perkins, III as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President. In this role, he is responsible for financial reporting, fee-based businesses, liquidity, deposit operations, information systems, property management and asset liability management.

We are pleased to report net income of $215 thousand or $.06 per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, which compares very favorably to a net loss of $218 thousand or ($.06) per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Net income was $319 thousand for the first half of 2011 or $.09 per share versus a loss of $836 thousand and ($.23) per share during the same period in 2010. The improvement in our performance can be attributed to increasing the core earnings capacity of Paragon by increasing net interest income, increasing fee income, and reducing expenses.

Paragon Reports Profitability at Sixth Annual Shareholders’ Meeting

During the meeting, shareholders, directors and employees listened to President and CEO Robert Shaw present the bank’s 2010 accomplishments and financials, as well as goals for the coming year.

Paragon Supports Relay for Life for Fifth Consecutive Year

Paragon National Bank had more than 50 employees and their family members participate in the 2011 Relay for Life, held at the Germantown Municipal Park on April 30. While this is the first year Paragon has participated in the Germantown event, it’s the fifth consecutive year that the bank has supported the cause in honor of its employees who are cancer survivors, as well as those who have lost their valiant battle with this terrible disease.

Paragon’s Germantown President expands duties to Manager of Private Banking

Paragon National Bank announced that Wayne Littleton has been promoted to Manager of Private Banking. He will continue to serve as President of the bank’s Saddle Creek location at 7600 Poplar Avenue in Germantown. In his new role, Littleton will be responsible for overseeing all private banking activities.
